What is a binding? How do you bind?

What is binding? It is a permanent act performed with a spirit or a spell. In the case of a spirit it is a mutual agreement transacted between a conjurer & a spirit for the spirit to be associated with an object or person. When a spirit or enchantment is bound to someone or something that binding act is a permanent placeholder for the spirit or spell. When a spirit is bound to a person or bound to an object that is a permanent act that creates a haven for the spirit. The vessel, be it person or object, is the physical realm binding site which remains unless purposefully dissolved by the person.

How do you bind? There can be multiple ways to go about this; a practitioner can do it as part of the conjuration, you can use pre-cast tools like Binding Bags, Boxes, or amulets, or use a specially written spell or ritual to do so.

I'm not sure if I should create a separate thread for this but, how do you do a binding ceremony? :? To welcome new spirits home. Thought this was the best place to ask before making a thread :? :wizard:

When ordering spirits/entities in CH, do they bind the spirit/entity to you instantly or does the buyer do it?

They do the binding for you, but it is not instant. They have a lot of orders and it could take some time before they start work on yours.

Magnolia,

When doing a custom conjure, have you or anyone else at CH had the spirits fight as to who would be bound the person requesting the binding? Like multiple spirits coming forward from the call saying they were the one that wanted to be bound? Just Curious.

May You Be Blessed,

There has been people in some threads mentioning that they have got two spirits in a custom for originally just one. If the spirits get along, that is one solution for the dilemma.

It has been intriguing me too about the multiple spirits coming forth thing... So I guess if I have always received one spirit binding for one ordered then nobody has been clamoring just yet... Or maybe they weren't cause they all found places in my many trifectas and triads soon enough... :D

I still wonder if a store item will ever be offered for binding of spirit groups... If someone wishes to have a Wolf/WereWolf pack bound for example... Or gang of Incubi... Or mix of spirits wanting to be a team, without the number of spirits known when ordered... What have you... :)

Happy to see you popping up Neo, missing you beloved... Happy trails... ~smiles lovinly

Which is stronger? Bound to self or vessel?

I don't *think* either is stronger per se (I'm new still so anyone more experienced feel free to jump in and correct me lol), between a spirit being bridged directly to your spirit (different than soul) or to a vessel. Having a vessel helps newer keepers so you have a physical object to concentrate on when communicating to the spirit, I prefer to have a vessel myself.

Any spirit you get from CH will be bridged to your spirit and a vessel (if you choose that option) as well so you don't have to have the vessel with you. CH also offers a bridging stone you can purchase so you can bridge any spirit from another seller to yourself as well.
