Help With Astral Travel?

Hey again, I've never managed to astral travel before, but it's something that I've always wanted to do. I've been trying to mediate, and I've come very close to doing it before by meditating. Unfortunately, I haven't meditated in a while and I am still trying to get back into the rhythm, I used to be able to meditate to a very deep level. I think part of the reason could be that since I tried to do it last, my health has gotten much poorer. Nothing beyond my control, but unfortunately, I tend to overeat when I'm stressed, so I've gained a lot of weight. I've also lost a lot since then, but I still am not in wonderful health. Could this be what is causing me a problem with meditating and my attempts to astral travel??

In my opinion yes it seems subconscious. If things aren't going your way for a little bit it's easy to get depressed. Regain control of your life find some passion and then when your mod is good try to do it then without expecting anything. You'll be surprised.
