Tasking - has it ever NOT worked out the way you expected?

Hi guys,

I'd like to talk about spirit tasking. Has it ever NOT worked out the way you expected? What was the reason for it not working out? What did you do in the end?

Here's my most recent story..

I tasked 3 of my spirits recently. Since tasking them (it's been almost a month I think) I've not seen the results I was hoping for. I wasn't angry or anything, I just felt a bit confused as to why things were not working out the way I'd planned, since I know the 3 spirits I tasked are MORE than capable.

Today, as I thought over the situation and my spirits who I tasked on it, it finally hit me - I had been completely foolish in the way I tasked them. There were a few things that came to my attention, but the main point is that this particular situation is more likely a life lesson for the person involved. As hard as it is for me to watch, they need to go through it on their own, without my interference.

Needless to say, I apologised to my spirits and thanked them for helping me see the reality of things.

So with this new realisation, I decided to approach it from a totally different angle. While I won't be interfering, I will be looking out for my family. I've now ordered a Wraith (yes, the person who always avoided them has actually ordered one!) and I will task him when he arrives (not for revenge work, but rather to keep someone away).

So, what about you?

I asked my protection spirits once to help protect us from my MIL. They moved us to a completely different city after living where we had for almost ten years.

That's amazing for both of you!

I am sure I have had one or two incidents of this nature, but I honestly can't recall what they might be at the moment. Nothing major, but my Djinn especially like to tell me when I'm being a dumbo with one of my wishes or tasks.

It was a real feat. They moved us further away from her, into a better financial situation, into a better school district, and into a better social situation too. I was just hoping they'd give her a bone spur or something to keep her home. I didn't dream they'd go further than I'd even considered towards bettering our lives.

I have to say usually I end up disappointed if I task my family with anything. Apart from protection, I usually don't see any indication of them helping me. But I can tell there have been numerous situations where me, a family member or my dogs have avoided a potentially dangerous situation.
