We have finally updated the Seller Area after several recommendations, and complaints about disorganization, having to sort through the whole forum just to list, etc.

There are special areas for each type of announcement you may have!

Customer Notifications

If you have any information your customers need to know like shipping updates, website changes, eBay notifications, etc. then this is the right area to let everyone know!

eBay Auctions & listings

Any of your eBay listings, or auctions can be highlighted here!

Limited Time Offers

If something you are offering is going to be available only for a short period of time, let everyone know here!

Marketplace listings

If something you have is in the CH Marketplace, advertise it here & we pick 4-5 listings from the Marketplace to be in our newsletters which currently circulate over thousands subscribers.

Sales

Is your site or shop having a weekend sale or special sale? Notify potential customers in this area!

Website Listings

If you have something offered for sale off your website, this is the area to post it!

Website/Marketplace Shop Notification

If you have a Website or a Marketplace Shop, introduce yourself in this area!


And, Sellers on the site who just use the site for keeping in touch with their customers, we have made a new group for you! You are a sunny, yellow color, and when you log-in you are taken directly to the Seller Announcement area, making it more user-friendly

The Sales and Website Listings is the best idea there, something that I check often and now with an independent section will be great to keep an eye on it.

I'm not sure this was really needed. It makes things a bit more complicated and there weren't so many new threads every day in the old seller announcements forum as to make it cluttered. But we'll see how it goes... I'm also not sure I WANT my Marketplace listings in the newsletter if I wanted to post them in the forum, because that's a lot more exposure.

Right now we pick listings out of the Marketplace at random and put them in the newsletter, so it's really no different. If you don't want yours in the newsletters, I'll make sure you aren't picked :thumbup:

The senior mods have been keeping the Seller Announcements area trim by removing irrelevant listings. The old rule was 10-14 for listings. With the new format the Customer Notifications & the Website Notification forums are open longer and seller's announcements in those areas aren't archived after 14 days. I think that is a big plus for you guys.

The changes are from the feedback we've received mostly from buyers in the forum, and a few sellers who've had some recommendations; some we could do, some we can't.
