I had an LP of Tibetan singing bowls in 1976. (Just thought I'd mention.)

I think that, like gongs, the physical sound vibration of an actual singing bowl resonates in the room you're in on both the physical level and a subtle / spiritual one. Some similarities to gong soundbaths. If you're into Tibetan meditation too, maybe it's reminiscent of the meditator's consciousness waves echoing in the vastness of the universe.

I have an Awakening Chime, 512 Hz, that works like a singing bowl. Google with those search terms to find them for sale.

Shown in the image are tuning forks that can be inserted into its base. It doesn’t come with tuning forks, though.

I also use tuning forks for sound therapy/cleansing.

UPDATE:

I play the bowl around the rim. I can play 2 tones with it. A low and high frequency.

The low one puts me in a deep trance which i am starting to think will be great in ritual magick

The high tone is great for cleansing. My spirits seem to like it. It makes the room crackle with energy.

Playing the bowl is calming. It helps with clearing my mind of the dayly cluter that i accumulate.

I will test an audio file next to see if it works the same though my spirits say no. I guess im gunna find out.

Two ways. Use the striker to hit the chime and it plays the note C, 512Hz.

Or run the striker around the rim one end of the tube, as one would do with a singing bowl, for a sustained C tone.
