banishing/binding

ok new to this and had a question that i didn't know where else to turn to. ill try to word this right. can a bound spirt be simplyed banshmished by telling it to leave? or do you need to break whats its bound to?

In most cases, the best thing to do is contact the person who bound the spirit and ask them to unbind/rehome the spirit for you(typically they will do this for free). Breaking the vessel won't affect the binding generally.
