Some practitioners may have their own way of going about things but the majority of spirits do not require any kind of simple or elaborate invocation or rituals.  Portal keys & invocations may be used to help encourage communication & manifestation in some cases but it is not required as a part of interacting & being a companion to a spirit.  Some spirits may require an invocation, but the number is few.  We will review ways of communicating with your spirits in a separate section.
