Divination by means of bread where a person's guilt or innocence is determined.  "Bread of Fate" (aka Cursed Bread, Guilt Bread, Bread of Judgment) is a piece of bread that contains a truth and/or reveal spell.  When someone is suspected of something and their guilt or innocence needs to be established this bread would be created.

You would give a piece of the bread to the convicted person (typically a size large enough to fill their mouth).  If they choked or became rapidly ill from the bread they were determined guilty.  If they were able to eat the bread without any problem they were innocent.

On an interesting (and macabre) note, they typically used barley bread for this practice, which is easy to choke on.
