Boobries are large birds who live in the water. They are ferocious as youths and adults, killing anything that falls in its path that can be presumed a threat. When raised from infancy the Boobrie forms a close and impenetrable connection to its "mother" or "father" and this includes any other family members or household pets that are around during the rearing of the Boobrie. They can strike in miliseconds against any forces, energies, or entities seeking to do harm to any of their family members. They can travel great distances in a flash if one of the family members is not currently at the residence and is in need of help. They can return just as quickly; often not even being missed. It takes one full year to go from infancy to youth and by 5 years they are fully grown adults.
