After 4 little turtles come in contact with a mysterious substance, called Ooze, they are transformed into giant turtles that speak and walk upright. A rat was also transformed and he becomes their mentor teaching them everything he knows about Jinjitsu. The turtles use their skills to fight crime in New York City. Their arch-enemy is a bad guy named Shredder who wants to gain power over the world. The ninja turtles must stop him.
