The film takes place in Edinburgh,1831, at a medical school Dr. Wolfe MacFarlane runs Donald Fettes attends as a student. Certain of the doctor’s  skills, Young Fettes shows interest in assisting a girl that has lost the use of her legs. After being promoted to macFarlane’s new assistance, Fettes learns of the doctors scheme of paying a local cabbie to fetch bodies for “anatomical research”. In his harrassing efforts, the assistant learns of how Gray actually gets the bodies.

Benny: For a black & white film it's very entertaining, a spooky film.

Rudy: Karloff & Lugosi are a great team in any scary movie, and this one is no exception, their performances are haunting.
