Recognized as one of the oldest forms of Christianity as goverened by a church. They possess some of the old-world traditions of the Greek Orthodox church, and Protestant church behaviors. They believe in deified humans (saints), praying to deified humans & angels (Jesus is not the only one to pray to), confession of sins to church-santified humans (priests) for absolution of sins (Jesus isn't the only one who can do that for you), baptism (purification for conversion by water), and transubtantiation (bread & wine are the body and blood of Christ). These are a few of the traditions, regulations, and rules in being Catholic. Only men can be made priests (women have no official standing or opportunity for advancement outside of nuns), preists & nuns must take a vow of celibacy in order to gain advancement in the church hierarchy.
