The Basilisk is the "King of the Serpents". All serpents acknowledge, and respect, the power of the Basilisk.  Having a Basilisk as a member of your spirit family means that any entity born of, related to, or associated with reptiles and snakes will be under the guardianship and leadership of the Basilisk.

When on Earth, a Basilisk was feared for its intimidating presence, and striking influence with supernatural power.  They were territorial, and would defend their home without hesitation.  They had a presence across the globe, in a wide variety of climates and terrains.  They could move across land or water with lightning speed, even those of enormous size.  Depending on the time period, and location, Basilisks could be loners, or could have a small colony; especially in prime locations.

Secret to Keeping

These Dark Arts secrets were previously not known outside of family and Creepy Hollows collectors. They are secrets discovered by Ash and he has generously agreed to share them with all collectors because having the right secret and being able to properly handle DA spirits is more important.

Caring for your Basilisk is the same as caring for any other spirit except being a creature of duality there is a way to keep your Basilisk under control if you feel it is becoming too energetic, too strong in manifestation or too "in your face". Bind the vessel tightly with string to subdue the Basilisk and get them to calm down. Only use this technique if you feel the spirit is becoming too strong for your liking- some collectors like their spirits to be "on the go" all the time so it is your judgment call.
