A being made through Alchemy.  In order to create this being you must have the correct spagyric recipe which is encased in a glass jar or vial.  The jar is then placed in horse manure for 40 days.  Upon the 41st day there will be life of a transparent being in the jar which you should be able to see some movement from.  This transparent being must be fed while remaining in the horse manure for 40 weeks.  Variations describe the rotation of fresh manure, it is generally accepted the horse manure must remain fresh (in whatever rotation of days that may mean).  During the 40 weeks the transparent being must be fed human blood.  After 40 weeks the incubation period is over and you will have a living, human baby that is no less distinguishable than a baby given birth to by a mother.  However, a Homanculas is typically smaller than a normal baby and they also are prone to birth defects.
