In that case, starting off with WA protection spirits might be the best way to go, at least until you feel that you've gained more experience as a spirit keeper, and feel that more confident that you can set house rules and handle DA spirits. I do not have any experience with Courtwind Angels who are living entities, but I will mention that I have Courtwind Angels spirit companions who are great protectors - who specialize in protecting me from different things. So, I definitely would recommend those. I haven't heard of the Ferrimu Dragon before you mentioned them in your OP. But if one is calling to you, I would assume that there is a good reason for that- Plus they seem like very good protectors. I think they would make for a great asset in your protection team. The Volkh is a great choice too, and a very good protector.
Whyme mentioned Gargoyles, which are also good protectors, and might be a good choice. With Wraiths you would have strong house rules in place, like e. g. "Don't act upon my thoughts and/or feelings" - so that they don't go after people that they might feel that they've wronged you in some way. Let's say that someone cuts you off in traffic or does something else that might cause you to feel annoyed or angry. You wouldn't want your DA spirits to act upon such feelings and/or thoughts, by going after an innocent person. You might want to have a house rule in place to protect you against people, spirits and/or entities that mean you harm or/and want to hurt you, instead.

Would getting 4 all at once be likely to overwhelm my energy? Not sure what to expect, lol. When my Succubus “E” was bound to me, I enjoyed feeling her soothing and feminine energy meld with mine before the order completed, but also had about 2 days of adjusting where I felt chilled and fatigued. Was totally worth the adjusting though!
On the question on if getting all 4 at once would be likely to overwhelm your energy, I guess that depends how sensitiv your are to energy, and are able to sense or detect the presence of spirits and/or their energy, and to what degree (light vs. full volume). I suppose it depends on what you're looking for in a spirit companion and/or protector or protection spell(s). It could perhaps be helpful to set up a list on what your immediate and/or long-term needs are in protection, and then see which WA spirit companion who might be able to help you in that area, like e. g. protection against unbounds, Black magick and/or entities, negative energy, curses, etc.

You're very welcome! I've got most of these myself, and I feel that they help a lot in keeping me safe. There are a lot of protection spells, and I haven't listed them all here - but I feel these are great to have since we're dealing with the paranormal/metaphysical. Just as to not leave oneself vulnerable and without protection against, say, unbound spirits and/or feeder or the Black Arts magick and/or entities.
