A number of Forum members have posted about how they printed out their house rules and put them somewhere prominent then called their spirit family round and asked them to agree to abide by them. (They tend to enjoy having the clarity that house rules bring an of course bound spirit companions want to help us.)

Any new member of the spirit family would need to agree to abide by them too.

PROTECTION

The CH adage is you can never have too much protection. And the coverage provided by several types of specialist protection spirit will be broader than from one seemingly elite type.

The following are very good specialist protectors to have and are fine for beginner keepers:

- Courtwind Angels (ideally 4)
- Volkhs
- Gargoyles
- Fylgia

nb Some people may find Courtwind Angels' energy noticeably strong - but I've not yet read of a keeper fining it unpleasant or a problem.

Once you have specialist protectors and house rules in place, don't undermine it by sidestepping the rules yourself and inviting in unvetted, risky unbounds. You can trust your protectors to only let in non-malicious beings themselves.

BANISHING - having this resource available is handy. The CH Great WA & DA Guidance books each contain a spell for banishing unbounds.

CONJURATION

Conjuration is said to require the highest levels of protection, banishing ability etc plus virtually master level standard of training & expertise to be either safe or effective, done ourselves.

Fortunately CH has some protected invocations & conjurations, so we can experience that for ourselves.

Getting bindings right now out of uncertainty, you're going to convolute the matter for yourself. You want to find out who this voice is from but at the same time you're looking into bringing more voices into your life that you cannot discern. I know this sounds tough, but if you have trouble discerning where a voice comes from and can't figure out a reliable way on your own, then you may not be ready to bring more presences into your life.
Figure out who the presence is first and establish a plan with them if they're still hanging around - boundaries as well, or banish them and set up protection, and then carry on.

The method you used is problematic for an array of reasons. Not even going into the issues you can have with casually summoning an affiliation of Lilith's (I'm speaking from over a decade of experience with her, her kin and her 'sisters' or other faces as well), you don't know with the letter method that you summoned anyone legitimately connected to Lilith - your intent is not enough to keep something else from licking up the energy of your desire and responding to it, effectively blocking anything else out in the process.
Not said to scare you but to be real. The method you used isn't going to bind anything but could've resulted in an attachment, maybe one that has fizzled out by now.

But is this being BA we don't know. He doesn't remember what they said when they said harm she could have said I will protect you from harm.

Rules there is a da house rule spell binding. But I also write them down and pin it on my wall some or most of my spirits don't like my laptop I don't think

Because of this post I just ordered like 15 protection spells and probably gonna get more. I already had several but CH has alot for BA alone.

I recommend cutting cords as well. And s cloak just my personal opinion. Cutting cords to me is easy I do it the shaman way well shamans have mesny ways to break ties wait for full moon right a letter to them about cutting the cords burn letter on full moon

The rule of thumb is to ask the seller/conjurer which arts their bound spirit is *and*, when it comes to BA, what their own definition of BA is.

The second part is important because people use the term BA in different ways. CH uses it to mean a being that's unredeemingly focused on harm to all and sundry - even to its owner, if bound.

This CH article is a key insight into that.

Hi. I have attempted a few banishing/cleansing spells already. I have had some of my spirits cast spells of protection and asked them to be on guard. And just as important, I have remained calm. I will give no power to any entity or spirit who wishes to harm anyone.
And of course I cannot exactly recall if what was said was will or will not cause harm. As far as I know, she could have said, " I won't allow us to be separated, but I will cause no harm to any who try. " Or even, " I don't want us to be separated." There is also no indication that they have been around though admittedly I may not have noticed.
For now I will continue to improve my protection and defense. Thank you for your very good advice, I will definitely take this seriously, but will not worry. I have faith in far greater powers than mine to protect me.

I was just curious as to who the voice belonged. Would someone be able to ask Lilith herself? I thought about getting a channel to her, but wasn't sure if I was ready for that.
