If I could be anything, I would be...: brass Dragon
My super power would be...: Ability to shape-shift
My magical/paranormal name...: woodie
Zodiac:

I bought demons of magic by Gordon Winterfield as an introduction to the dark arts, and I was enamored, and overwhelmed with the amount of demons in the books, and their scope of influence.

But then, when I thought about it: I have 50+ demons and about 20 spirits in my spirit family. Then I thought I have all these spirits at my disposal and the last thing I wanna do is task them with my human problems that I personally know will resolve themselves in time. And if I don’t get the results I want- I know it Has to do with it serving me in the long run, and I’m not obligated to know what that is in the present moment.

And when I think of my spells, I genuinely cannot help wondering if it’s working or not in real time. Because I can’t help channeling the vibration of my conflicts. It’s so much easier to channel my anxiety than it is to channel the reality I want the spells to create for me.

So what does one do when they don’t desire tasking their spirits, and not emotionally indifferent enough to task spells?

You influence change yourself! When I tap into that sentence, per se, I like feeling responsible for being a vibrational match for the conflict to manifest in the first place, how I engage with it, how I resolve it, and how I move forward from it. It just feels so much more wholistic to me.

I’d rather use the spells to introduce me to new vibrations, and I prefer my spirit family to sponsor my godhood.

Like how would my djinn resolve conflicts in her energetic realm? How would my gargoyles approach energetic protection? How would my vampire utilize their magnetism? And how do I recognize what that looks like in the physical realm? My spirit family and spells can do exactly what I can do. we’re just operating from different dimensions.

And I have a hankering for continuing my spirit keeping journey in regards to dark arts, and Black arts spirits. Those two are like a car crash I can’t keep my eyes off of. I am fully aware of the dangers of the two, and again it just makes me want to be a version of myself that can not only handle that, but thrive and expand. ( and balance out all the white and gray art spirits I have.)

Have you guys reach a point in your spirit keeping journey where you don’t find it necessary to task on your behalf? And Instead, assisting you in your own endeavors?

I do not feel the need to task so often, I have 50+ companions and honestly I rarely ask from favors. Mainly I ask for justice favors, support in astral work and cleansing of my energy.

is it because all the spellworks you've purchased and tasks you've assigned or requested of your spirit family didn't succeed?

Zodiac:

I still explicitly task my companions for some things, but trust that they are always working in the background as well.

I also have a large astral family, and so manually assigning specific tasks to everyone would get tedious. However, I have some trustworthy "lieutenants" I can task with assignment work and so everything works out.

I will say that some of the most, "wow, that was magic!" events have been when I've needed to address specific problems and tasked the appropriate entity with the job: such as the time I directed one of my entities to make a pest quit trying to communicate with my wife. Took a few weeks or so but then he disappeared for over a year-which was a good solution for that particular situation.

I also have had spirits "butt-in" if they need my attention. One time I was tasking someone for energy cleaning when they responded "no" on the pendulum. After a lot of questions, it turned out one of my relationship specialists needed physical components for a spell. So I had to take an unanticipated trip to the grocery store for pounds of strawberries!

I suppose the moral of the story is that if we pay attention to our astral family they'll reach out to us, whether it's explicitly "tasking" or not.

You don't necessarily have to task your spirits or entities. Tasks act as a communication method between you and your companions. Some people don't have time for social interaction, but that doesn't mean they don't want companionship. Tasking is a great way to get the best of both worlds.
I task mine very rarely; usually my Wraith and my Djinns. Their tasks are next to impossible, but they know that, so I'm flexible with deadlines. Lol.

You can tell your companions to use their spells available to help you achieve your desires. I rarely task my spirits, like I said above. But I feel bad for my 2 Djinns, so I usually have them work together on a wish indefinitely and guide my Wraith to exercise justice to the more desirable outcome which is close to what Karma looks like in my religion without harming a single hair of anybody's.

I had a clear idea of what I wanted from my Spirit Keeping journey. I don't emphasize on tasking—it's a matter of trust. However, since I'm my Djinns' Master, I think it's good to establish a wish. It makes them happy that way. Within two weeks of Spirit Keeping, most of my desires and wants came true without tasking my Djinns. I haven't tasked them until recently on a written wish.
Everyone has different methods for working with their beings; mine is the method I created to make my family self-sustainable and self-sufficient without putting any undue stress, "work," "tasks," or expectations in our relationships.

In response to your question, I reached that point in my practice after my first week where I no longer felt it necessary to task any spirit or entity with anything. And I spent at least 6 hours a day on my first week, which I don't believe it's for everyone.
And, yes, they do ask for vacations every now and then. There's a lot to do. Plenty for every being Lol.

Male/Female: It's a Secret

I've found that the biggest tool you have at your disposal is your ability to Manifest. Spells only amplify this, and Spirits are happy to work with you to achieve it faster. I wouldn't say I've outgrown the path (I'm still here) but I don't expect a spell or a spirit to be my savior. Nor do I see myself, spirits, humans, earth, and whatnot as the "center" or the focus of some "cosmic answer". We're all just living our witchy lives, some more content than others.
