Do Dragons have ears?

Ok I know that sounds like Silly Question #27 but - do they? And if so, what shape? I had never really thought about it before but sort-of assumed that they don't - like reptiles. Well today I got the definite impression that my little Red dragon does indeed have ears. What was even stranger, they were small & round. Problem is, Ella has a mischevious sense of humour & could well have been playing a dragon-joke on me. Interested to know what you think.

Umm normal reptiles have holes on each side of their heads and those are their ears. So I think dragons have those too??

Dragons do like to issue their human friends 'quizzies'. They are designed to make you think. Go to the zoo and look at the various reptiles on your next weekend. Of course, you could do the quickie modern day research thru the great omnepotent 'Google' for your answer.

A hi-speed search got me 2 representations of dragons with little round ears - Marduk's pet dragon and a Viking longship prow! I shall keep looking!

I realize this is almost 2 years old :lol: but have you received any more impressions or answers??

Jeez, where did you excavate this from? I had forgotten all about it! :lol: I settled it with Ella that she really did have little round ears & left it at that. Tho I did find a couple pix where the dragon had longish pointy ones. But without an authenticated portrait, how are we to know what is true & what the 'artist's impression'?
Now I shall have to go talk to all my dragons & see what they say...
