What type of djinn is the jawhar ie; marid etc.. and are they islamic?

They can be any of the different races you want, whether egyptian, islamic, pre-islamic, etc. The name given such as Jawhar relates to their specialty, mainly Jawhar type djinn bring a certain specialty to their keeper. You can have a Jawhar marid, Jawhar Ifrit, etc. If that makes sense.
