Is a Deva and a Devata the same or are they different spirits all together? I thought they were the same but someone told me last night they are different. She said a Deva is a nature spirit but a Devata is a wish granter. Can anybody straighten this out for me because now I am very confused. Thanks.

Oh great! I am so glad you got the answer to this question. I was wondering about this too. I hope info on the devata can be added to the encyclopedia. I have a devata and I am so glad this question got answered.
