My wife had lucid dreams almost constantly. Also she saw spirits in corporeal, physical form very often - but not friendly ones. She also bled the entire pregnancy, but the baby was fine and she didn't lose it. So, I imagine they helped protect it.
It was a very spiritually intense nine months, and it didn't help that there were wicked unbound Djinn that would cause some severe moodswings.
