I have a few questions related to this topic that I felt I should ask.
For starters, would having a Kitsune mean that I would technically be a
kitsune-mochi or a
kitsune-tsukai?(which are essentially fox-employers/ 'fox witches'..)
Also, my understanding of the traditional mythology, Kitsune came in two principal divisions: the messengers of Inari, the Shinto Rice God, and the kitsune who were outsiders and tended to be tricksters or even malicious. Are the Kitsune, in this case, zenko or Inari foxes? Or are they yako or 'Outsider foxes'? Are there any karmic implications of having one around?(I would imagine that there would be implications with keeping a zenko around, as they are Inari's agents and all. Having a yako around sounds dangerous, though..) Is it true that they really are afraid of dogs? Are the kitsune like their mythological selves in the sense that they can actually possess people? o.o You see, in Japanese mythology, there are tales of fox-possession; referred to as kitsunetsuki. Can one of the CH-bound kitsune actually take on the form of a human as a disguise? I don't suppose they actually do that trick with presenting you with what appears to be a large sum of money, and then it turning out to be an illusion and that the money was actually nothing more than tree leaves, do they? Because, that could really suck. o.o;
I was also wondering about if the Ancient Worlds 'Youkai' ring would mean that I would be attracting things like Kitsune, Oni, Tanuki and Tengu? Or would it be just the white-lighted things that are drawn to it?
Also, something that's been sort of eating on my brain lately..
Can I have some clarification on how the Drow available from CH differ from their
DnD counterparts? Always good to know about fact versus fiction.
But yes. All of these questions stem from general curiosity. That, and I like to be well informed. ^^;
