Well, I am entering hte Halloween contest and am “becoming” my grand 2nd cousin Jean Harlow. When I was a kid, I learned to love old movies…silent movies from Edison to Chaplin, Griffith (his Line so fWhite on a Sullen Sea may be one of the best films ever made)…As my grandfather and George Eastman were friends ans well as my great-uncle….I got to see a lot of privately shown films…I was “that kid who really loves movies” – to me seeing movies were like going to church….And my grandfather made movies as well as he got the latest cameras and lenses from George….00ps …Mr Eastman…(“Be respectful of the adults C-“) and then I discovered Harry Houdini and Lon Chaney Senior…Chaney – the man of a 1,000 face just blew my mind…I saw “his film “Midnight” – a vampire move now lost…and so on…..then later, Imet people who introduced me from the theatre – a chain of people that started with my Grandmother Christina – who loved theatre and concerts…and turned me on to them…I started to get bit roles….I met and talked with Sesshue Hayakaewa, Rex Harrison (what a queen!), Ethel Merman, Edward Albee, Ken Nordine, and that incredible power behinf the scenes Gladys Kokesburger (she was close friends with Bela Lugosi…and insisted that when he came to their parties that he wear his “Dracula Cape”, and other people as well
I learned to act and project my voice. I loved playing weird people….My favorites were Harlow, Jack Barrymore, and Lon Chaney Senior, Dwight Frye, and Anton Walbrook….they were SOOOOOoooo cool…..I got bit parts on the Philly stages, and loved it…never wanted to be a star..just have incredible fun on the stage …The stage and movie theatres were my churches and holy places. And my greatest wish is to play Renfield in a Dracula Movie....

BTW, now in present time Trish McAvoy makes the best makeup in the world….whether for “glamourizing” or for the stage….. and Pyra & I are going to make some black & white movies during this coming year…and if we can pull it off a film entitled “The Caligari Studio”…or “Making Caligari”…undecide about title….

Anyway here are a couple of BW puics of Harlow and one of myself….(I love B&W and even though its hard to get film and get it developed, I still use it….the number of “dots: per square inch is low compared to silver nitrate……..)
