Hello everyone, I found this interesting device for sale. It has been designed by Dr. Michael A. Persinger. It basically simulate the temporal lope and make you experience paranormal stuff. Many report seeing Christ, God, Angels, The Devil, Formless Beings and some induce them to astral projection.

I am wondering if anyone heard of this or even have this device?

Sounds like a much fancier version of binaural beats.
And holy expensive, batman! Wow. $650 and it probably costs around $40 in materials.

I'm kind of lost as to the purpose of all this.

Are they trying to disprove the existence of otherworldly entities and encounters as things made up by our mind or are they saying that such a deice can help you experience such encounters.

I can't say whether they are trying to prove or disprove anything. The video is an excerpt from a show on science channel called through the wormhole with morgan freeman. He explores various concepts and narrates them.

It seems like the device is made to stimulate parts of your brain that will cause you to perceive activity you would normally believe to be otherworldly if it happened spontaneously. Now, if paranormal events as spirit keepers view them are caused by stimulation of the same parts of the brain, I don't know, and frankly it doesn't really matter to me. A lot of research has gone into stuff like this however, and they've done MRI scans of people who were praying, meditating, etc, and said that their brains did indeed show activity that indicated they were talking to someone and being spoken to. However science has not gone so far as to say any spirits exist, or gods, merely that in our heads they are real.

Bottom line is our brain defines our reality. So of course they're going to research and study it.

So they take and send an electromagnettic field into the temporal lobe... yeah okay.

Since It was mentioned by Astral D, I want to given credit where it is due. I would also suggest binaural and/or isochronic tones. If you haven't check these out, you can find free samples on the web and sessions for sale. If you have a smartphone, they make many apps that have these as well.

I agree with psychosiz, i listen for Free on youtube binaural and/or isochronic tones, they really do help, i usually listen anywhere from 30-60 minutes with headphones while meditating that's what works for me.
