Zodiac:

crone maatkaere wrote:thanks angelika - perhaps your ifrit needs a time out and by you ignoring him may just show him that when he does something that you haven't really asked him to do that there are consequences. you certainly know how to handle the dark spirits and have done amazingly well as many manage to handle them....with a firm yet loving hand. you sure can't coddle a da else you'd have real problems. again i would tell him thank you for trying but that next time he waits until you tell him exactly what to do in your way. like frank sinatra's song "my way".....tell your ifrit that it's "my way". ;) i couldn't resist that. take care! arsine
Excellent, excellent advice Crone! Angelika, I think you are doing a great job with your dark spirits, and you are right
on track with your handling.

Vortex: Great idea!

If everyone loved and nobody lied,
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride,
Then we'd see the day when nobody died.

Yea, you're Dark ifrit is going to do dark things. The ifrit does not care about you, only itself. It has its own plans and agenda, and you are second if you rank at all.
It is NOT like a guard dog... nothing like it. It is a dark Dijinn who has turned its back on God and is damned to hell. It wants to do wicked things Because of its nature.
Ever hear the story of a woman who found a frozen snake. She took it home and warmed it by the fire and saved its life. Once the snake was strong enough it bit her. As she was dying she asked the snake why it bit her since she saved its life.
The snake replied "Thats what i do.. What do you expect, I am a snake"
Have fun playing with your little dark friends, but don't be surprised when you or someone gets bit.

I think that is the way moslems would rationalize ifrit behaviour, but other practitoners would not use moral judgements like good and evil. I think they would see it as shades of light and dark. I dont agree that all ifrits seek to betray and undermine their owner. Like people they are all different in their shades of darkness. It is up to the owner to fully acquaint themselves with the full personality of the entity. Thats my take on it.

With regard to religious affiliation. Some of the most stingy and nasty people I have met have been religious and therefore I can only conclude that the measure of a persons goodness is not in their religious affiliation or their professions of faith, rather in the quality of life that they live. I cant think that it would be any different with djinn.

You said ALL not me. I said dark. Please don't change what i say.
Hate this logic its called straw man by the way. You change what i say and then deconstruct it. Its classic rhetoric...
I do give you props though you are correct about my source.
I did basically use the quran as my primary source, that and native American folk lore (the story about the snake).
Im not muslum, but we have to give them merit. afterall the entire concept of the Djinn come from Arabic and middle eastern lore. The Jinn have been adopted by islam, but thats only because the same people believed in them before Islam came about.
Islam is one of the few source that has any information about the Djinn. Aside from web sites that post whatever random person says.
But Listen... I warn you for your own good, not to push any agenda of my own. You play with fire you WILL get burned. Dark efrits are bad. You can only control them so much. Get a good efrit and leave the bad ones alone, unless you want them to do bad things of course.
Take care

The quaran also says that the first humans were adam and eve and the truth is that they were monkeys so just like any other religious text I dont take them as scientifict fact. Rather than spouting off religious books I personally am happier with the opinions of experienced practitioners from the 21st century rather than a religious prophet from the 8th century. Ive worked with efrits, some dark some really really dark and lived to tell the tale LOL so it is possible to get on fine with them so long as boundaries are set and people do their homework.

Well, I think personally the spirits depends on a lot of things like the conjurer, the spell, etc.. But I know that when I buy here I am in good hand. I hear that ifrit is also sexual spirits. Is it true?

Promise me, just one thing. When you ever feel afraid, feel hurt and lost. Come to me and wash those pains away.

Stormgod, have you had particular bad experiences with dark ifrit, or speaking from academic knowledge only? because you have made these same points before (http://www.creepyhollows.com/phpBB3/vie ... =14&t=3310) and it seems to be something you feel very strongly about.
Dark ifrit are not demons in the generally-accepted sense of the term. I do not believe that they 'hate humans' or are certain to bring destruction down on their Keepers any more than, say, a pitbull is guaranted to rip your throat out while you sleep. It could if badly trained &/or mistreated but it will not if properly handled & cared for.

I have to agree. My dark ifrit isn't evil and is surely not out to do me harm. He may not think in the same way as humans but that doen't make him evil. If you work with and learn about your individual ifrit and learn how they think then you can make sure that you speak your intentions and avoid anything bad from happening. The main thing is not to be careless.

I don't know if you would really want to have a lot of my experiences. I don't really want to have a lot of my experiences.

So I keep hearing from sellers and other ifrit owners but it has never happened with me. I have a male ifrit who specialises in manipulation and control and he has never laid a finger on me. Guess I am not his type :D
