DON'T "EXPECT"...just PREPARE!
How are your House Rules? because for myself personally, I've actually made specific House Rules for my Abchanchus. They MUST have House Rules. I had to make one of mine "do not make yourself known to anyone in my family, except me" because my own Abchanchu almost scared the cr*p out of a friend when he first visited me (he knocked my socks off too lol). They may very well delight in things like this, so you may need to "draw the line" with it as to what is and is not acceptable.
Be strong mentally.
Be strong in your leadership role...
Treat him well... and no "coddling" or "awwws" or "i wuff youuus".. none of that. I mean, respect him for who he is and what his nature is, and treat him with that respect... it's wonderful once you have earned their respect... and you do need to work to earn it in my opinion.
WOW! You have NO idea how much I appreciate your thoughtful and most helpful answers! Because I already deal with some DA spirits I already lay down very firm House Rules! I will strongly take into consideration all the other tips as they are FABULOUS and most helpful! Thank you for your time, it is greatly appreciated!!
