I'm having a bit of a conundrum. I'm not an experienced vampire keeper in any way. I am experienced with dark arts spirits, but not vampires. However, I am feeling an EXTREMELY strong calling to one of Ash's vampires in the shop. The on,y problem is that he is recommended for experienced vampire keepers only.

I'm afraid of getting in over my head. Should I leave it be and let someone else get him? Or go for it?

I feel like when CH says "experienced" usually means those who are experienced in working with the dark arts than those who specifically work with only vampires. (Unless it says specifically in the post that it's only for 'experienced vampire keepers'.) Needless to say that it does help to have a bit of experience with vampires as well, but don't let that frighten you.

I have a vampire in my company, but he isn't from Ash. I feel like if you are absolutely sure this is a calling and not infatuation, then go for it. Read some posts in the forum about those who have adopted Ash's vampires in their life before you do -- if you want to. Make sure that you feel ready to welcome him in your life, especially because I feel that he might have a very strong energy if he is for those experienced working with dark arts or a bit overwhelming.

I say go for it.

If Ash feels you are "getting in over your head" he will simply swop the vampire for another in your order. I had this happen to me with a werewolf once. Ash will never send something to you that you can't handle. Since you are being called so strongly, I doubt he will need to do that.

After an interesting dream, I decided to go for it.

I think, it is good that you go for it. When I was a new in spirit keeping, I started out with a dark art vampire spirit, I felt strongly for, and never had any problems.
