Update: I used shielding and centering, I programmed my shield to take negetive energies and put them back into the ground to be recycled as good energy. And negative spirits will be bounced far away. I also programmed it to run all the time. I asked my keep and they say I have a shield so yeah!

Practice like crazy. Every new skill improves with regular practice. Visualize a shield as impenetrable as diamond, or with a rubbery, slick surface that things just bounce or slide off of without piercing it, or a super-reflective surface that sends back ALL unwanted energies.

Or, since you're in the astral realm and it's not bound by physical rules, create a shield that incorporates all three features at once , plus any other features that suit your needs.

May i ask how are you communicating with your spirit family? Are you using a pendulum or something? Because those kind of tools are always a risk and a newbie can be easily tricked with communication tools like pendulum.

i use telepathy mostly. sometimes i tell my keep to push down on my left hand for yes and right hand for no, i know its my keep answering because i feel their energy, all of their energys have a positive feeling
