Some interesting stuff about zombie:
Dual Soul

Within the voodoo religion, the concept of dual soul is present and is closely linked with the figure of the zombie. There are at least two types of soul according to this tradition: the Gros Bon Ange (good wide angel) and Ti Bon Ange (little good angel). The first type of soul, Gros Bon Ange, is a spiritual concept. Memory, feelings and personality of the person is attributed to it. This soul is in direct relation to the body. If Gros Bon Ange is lost, it is like losing life.

The second type of soul, Ti Bon Ange is another spiritual concept. It is linked to the brain, blood, head and conscience of man. This type of soul represents two types of zombie:

1. Disembodied zombie. His absence in person indicates stealing by sorcerer or Bokor. It is typically stored in a specific container. It is the soul without a body.

2. Corporeal zombie. It corresponds to the person with the appearance of dead. It is the typical zombie recognized by all. It is the body without a soul.

Both types of zombie work as domestic servants. A disembodied zombie, within the Haitian oral tradition, can also be used to kill someone, to make someone sick or destroy crops. There are versions in which the sorcerer sucks the soul of the victim through a crack in the door of his house, and then he transfer it to a bottle or jar. Then, the person falls ill, dies and is buried. subsequently, the wizard asks permission from the caretaker of the cemetery to remove the body and thus put under his nose the bottle with the sol of the victim, while a special drug is administered. It is would be another way to do the zombie process which is more magical character, rather than toxic.

Nah, was interested in zombie and wanted to see if there's non-Haitian version of it.

Why not, let's add philosophical zombie:
A philosophical zombie, as opposed to a Hollywood zombie, is an exact physical duplicate of a human being that lacks consciousness. A philosophical zombie version of you would walk and talk and in general act just like you. If you stick a knife into it, it’ll scream and try to get away. If you give it a cup of tea it’ll sip it with a smile. It uses its five senses to negotiate the world around it just as you do. And the reason it behaves just like you is that the physical workings of its brain are indiscernible from the physical workings of your own brain. If a brain scientist cut open the heads of you and your zombie twin and poked around inside, she would be unable to tell the two apart.

However, your zombie twin has no inner experience: there is nothing that it’s like to be your zombie twin. Its screaming and running away when stabbed isn’t accompanied by a feeling of pain. Its smiles are not accompanied by any feeling of pleasure. Its negotiation of its environment does not involve a visual or auditory experience of that environment. Your zombie twin is just a complex automaton mechanically set up to behave just like you. The lights are on but nobody’s home.
