I bet my spirit will keep eating after death. Not because it needs to but because it’s just habit. I’ve been doing it all my life after all right? and cake is great so why stop lol. That’s just my thoughts though.

LOL Well, I would suppose the drive to consume sustenance would disappear upon death, whether that sustenance is physical food or energy.
Would it mean they would stop entirely? Probably not, considering we might make an offering of food to our spirits and they would partake of its energy signature or whatnot, even though they physically ate when alive. Of course they don't actually eat the physical food.
I imagine it would be similar - the need is no longer there, but they may still want to partake of the energy now and again.
Which in itself raises an entirely different question: Do they still consume the energy even as a spirit, or do they only appreciate the signature and release it? Or in other words does the "energy digestion" still take place after death or are they only enjoying the activity?

I would think they do both based on the hermetic principals of polarity and Correspondence. I think the only way to know for sure would be to die and find out the hard way but that doesnt sound like something worth testing out.
