Ok, so I think this happened about a year or so ago. The chaos of life kind of pushed it out of my mind but I thought it might be interesting to share and maybe get some outside opinions.

First off, I have a lot of Irish blood in my family. My great great grandmother on my dad's side immigrated here from Ireland when she was young and I have no idea how much is Irish on my mom's side, but I am very Irish.

I have a tendency to "hear things", often times it is a soft muffled call that I often mistake for my mother yelling for me, only to go to her and she look at me all confused and say she didn't say anything. One morning while I was sleeping I heard this ear piercing, soul shattering scream that jolted me out of bed and to my mom's room (she is disabled and I take care of her so I thought something happened to her), only to find her sound asleep. We are the only 2 that live here besides my small zoo of animals and none of them could make that kind of scream.

Confused and freaked out I went back to bed, but a while later I was doing some research on different kinds of fae and spirits and such and I came across the Banshee lore and thought, huh, I wonder if that is what I heard. I still hear the voices from time to time but I haven't heard any more screams.

Thoughts and opinions?

Could be. Maybe I should do some more research on them, see if I can contact them if they are there.

From what I know about them they only scream if someone is about to die. If you can contact one that would be interesting as I’m willing to bet that she would be quite wise. Just remember to be respectful and kind to her.
