Partial AP and bilocation doesn't need this "wait until you vibrate and leave your physical body"-stuff. With some exercise and patience you can achieve thst even while awake and doing something with your physical body.

CatVictoriam is right. Relaxing and focusing on breath, yes, but that's done in under a minute. Everything else is unnecessary.

OBE is commonly known as leaving your body, as in you leave it behind and are fully in the astral experience. AP'ing is used for both, since with OBE you're projecting too, just not also feeling your body.

I myself can attest to Aprophis's method as I do it myself. I haven't done this whole "OBE leave-your-body-behind" thing, (although have lucid dreamt once or twice) but I have astral projected, while awake, and it's simply a mental connection that I focus on, in my mind.
It's conducting two bodies simultaneously, both your physical, and your astral one.
As a person whom can sometimes be easily distracted, this isn't always the easiest thing. But you learn to focus.

Generally I've heard the distinction as astral projection being when you leave your body fully, astral travel is when you mentally enter the astral while still being in your body.
Personally i stick with the latter, when you get good at it your senses are almost as sharp as in the physical world. Plus it allows you to be in both worlds at once. Personally i spend most of my work day astral traveling. 2cl
