Hello fellow spirit keepers. I thought I'd share what I found out about a certain jinni in my keep.

I'm still a bit new to keeping spirits and I'm learning bit by bit to improve in that area. I want to lucid dream so I've been tasking a jinni to help me achieve that goal. I've been at it for months and the dreams have been memorable but no signs of the dreams becoming lucid.

What I did today was finally talk to the jinni and found out that he didn't know what lucid dreams are so I told him. He also doesn't have the skill to help with lucid dreaming so the task was not within his capability. I told him that I'd no longer be tasking him to help me lucid dream and got the impression that he felt ashamed he couldn't help me. I told him that there's no shame in this as the fault was mine due to not asking before if he had that ability. He felt better so we're good now. 1ey

What I learned from this experience is to take a bit of time and be sure the spirit has the skill for the task. I'm sure glad they're patient with me as I learn this new part of my spiritual path.

That makes a lot of sense.

By the way, I suppose you know about spirits like Neb Djinn who can give you your own abilities and, if they haven't got the ability themselves, can go and acquire the ability and give it to you so you have it yourself? This is on top of their other amazing abilities.

Hmmm... This is a very good reminder to get to know your spirits better.

I tend to take the spirit type descriptions plus the conjurer descriptions from CH as a combined yard stick for ability (all my spirits are conjured by CH). I know better, since I've learned some of my spirits' particular skillsets, but I still fall into this pattern of making assumptions and asking for XYZ help from ABC spirits - especially the ones I don't know as well.

I'll have to review my task log and double-check some of my spirits' knowledge.

Thanks for the reminder. :)

I didn't know that some spirits can just give you abilities which raised some questions. If a jinni does give you abilities, are they temporary? Do you need the jinni to give you the ability everytime you want it. How does it work?

I talked to my keep and a different jinni stepped forward to help me develop lucid dreaming.
I interviewed that jinni yesterday to be absolutely sure he meant what he said. As I type this he keeps saying that he has the ability to help me so I'll see how this goes. I did have a dream (not lucid) which is good for the first time at this task.

There's much to remember about keeping spirits that it's easy to forget some things, at least for me, so back to the basics with one step at a time.

Some spirits and entities can help you open up or develop psychic and magical abilities. Just like anything else, it requires you work on it and practice it yourself--but they can give you a definite leg up in learning how to do things you otherwise would not have thought possible or didn't realize you had the capacity to do or learn.

Not all of them have the capability, but those who do should be greatly valued because they can greatly assist you on your journey and help you make faster progress. Many of them will help you learn how to astral travel and such, or help you go into deeper meditation easier. But not all of them can teach you things like dreamwalking, warding, healing, or divination, just to name a few potential skills you can pick up with the help of those beings who are gifted and through practicing on your own. If you find a specialist in any of these things who is willing to teach you, that's an incredible asset to have in your corner.

Keep in mind 99.999% of the time these changes will not occur overnight. They may already have the skill and be able to help develop it in you, but that's the key word there--develop. It takes work on your part, too. Listen to what they have to stay, study every resource you can find on the subject, and devote time to practicing how to do what they want to teach you, and you should see yourself making progress in leaps and bounds--much faster than learning on your own.

I know that spirits have specialities. My mistake was tasking a jinni who didn't have the expertise plus I do know it takes time to develop. I'm not looking for a quick fix, so to speak. I started my spiritual development years ago and now continue with their help. Yes, spirits help a lot but tasking a spirit to help with lucid dreaming when that spirit helps with dreams and knows nothing about lucid ones is the mistake. I guess that jinni heard the word dreams and ignored the word lucid which is another thing to be aware of. Be sure there's a clear understanding between yourself and the spirit even if it means defining a word or two for clarity. Regardless of what happened, it was a bonding experience as we did meet in dreams.

I have another jinni who specializes with helping me develop clairvoyancy and I've noticed improvement there. I don't expect them to do all the work which would be unfair to them. The more effort you put into developing a certain ability, the sooner you'll obtain it. It does make sense to do my part, which I do. When she (the jinni) works on my third eye with me, I can sure feel the energy in my head (where the pineal gland is located) and the brow.

I agree that we make faster progress with their help especially when you match the right spirit with the right task. Of course I cherish spirits for being ever so eager to help in whatever capacity they can.
