I imagine the involvement of natural philosophy which was later on used for science like this for this form of magick.

Say if you wanted to ‘conjure’ or blast fire from ‘nothing’, you would try to find out a way to generate it. Any means or shape to manifest that will. It’s about trying to manipulate things of this realm.

Rubbing your hands together is enough to generate heat or lots of heat for example but not nearly enough to ‘shoot fire’ unless there’s some kind of ‘secret’ knowledge here about existence we don’t know or aren’t aware of. However it’s used partly with sticks I think to make fire.

If the stories were real do you think the occult orders/practitioners who did this kind of magick based their practices off natural philosophy/an off-shoot possibly?

There are various expressions of Fire on an invisible level. Connecting with them can bring a tangible sensation of warmth to the person who's connecting. And if you've accumulated or channeled one or other form of Fire element or energy that can be sensed psychically. Healing energy tends to feel warm to the person being healed.

It's possible to interact with random chance to affect fire or connect with fire elementals, eg with forest fires etc.

But what you seem to be talking about would be called Pyrokinetics now I suppose. It appears to be very very hard indeed to manifest physical fire without the presence of the physical substances and causes that science would say are needed...in my opinion.

Well as said it was just one example I wanted to use, besides and alongside the other types of ‘magic’ mentioned in ‘the stories’.

Was trying to come to a conclusion of how they discovered the knowledge, that being utilising natural philosophy and if they exist to ‘that’ degree then it would be hidden facets of it we don’t know, or seldom do. Could be a technique made to increase heat in a specialised location, who knows if it comes to pyrokinetics.

Or is it aura related in conjunction with natural philosophy and manipulation of this realm?

Spontaneous human combustion for example is one phenomenon which actually happens in our plane that cannot be fully explained yet, but there are theories on it. Talking the truely spontaneous cases that are unique if they are legit. I know it might sound grim but also it shows perhaps there are hidden facets to natural philosophy we don’t completely know which cause certain effects.

I'm not really sure whether my answers will solve the question you're mulling over.

Well this is meant to be more of a discussion, apologies if it’s kind of worded like that sometimes.

Some good leads to look into is to see how a human’s voice, including in the way it’s used or uttered can influence its surroundings in any way. Like how camera flashes have an unknown affect that can erode certain artwork.

Even if any changes you notice are very small or tiny it’s still a start.

Plus to look into if specific combos of hand gestures of any kind and movements have any effect on surrounding environment, depending on distance, shape of pressure exerted onto the air with the gestures/movements used and so on. And for other examples of stuff what you do that can generate or even slightly influence heat. Things like that.

Things such as this, essentially anything you can notice about your body that can be used to manipulate surroundings in a non-typical way?

I’ve heard of techniques but it’s mostly for manipulating the internal qualities of yourself, including for temperature regulation. Those examples basically are physical realm magic except they are done internally for the interior of the body rather than externally. Like the case of some people who can survive in freezing temperatures by using those techniques

So yeah like I said a good amount of the supernatural exists but society has rebranded it, by having a habit of trying to reduce stuff, especially within this realm to purely quantitative ways of looking at things.

There might even be supernatural people or beings infront of you that you’ve stumbled across but ignored because of the above, like who knows?

It’s mainly that you have to question it and ask where to really draw the line.

Or something of which can amplify it to that effect when applied to say like your hands such as a powder, but like with practical alchemy you would need to take caution depending. Just some ideas coming along the way

I think it also helps to look at how the people who originally documented the events defined and experienced magick or the paranormal. Including what they defined portals as according to real human experience.

As well as how it was practiced by the people of old in order to push past the perception that media, modern expectations have created on what it is.

Then in doing so look at the different sorts.
