It's always a hard matter of spirit working when you can't trust your own judgement for it being coloured.

So, last night, I invited my Incubus to snuggle with me, as he has often done... For a moment, I get an image of him curling up beside me, arms wrapped around....
and the next he's not there, but- well, that's between us-
But it left me feeling a bit heartbroken with him.

Since I got up this morning, I've kept thinking about that moment and been trying to get to the bottom, he's been buzzing around me all day, but my mind isn't in a fit state to make sense of anything.
I've felt him touch my face, and a vision of him kissing my cheek, remembering happier times.

Still unable to get any sense out of it, I've started pulling tarot cards, asking for a message from him, and he answered with:
- 10 of Wands
- The Devil
- 2 of Cups

Ten of Wands gave me the impression of being "weighed down" by something? The Devil is a card of passion, and the 2 of cups implies love and "us"....
The 5 of Cups (abandonment, grief, focus on negative emotions) appeared as well, and as I was writing that last bit, I could "see" him holding it out to me, just watching.

I think he's trying to tell me that I'm getting hung up on negative things, things that might have well just been the creation of a tired mind settling into rest, and that he dearly does still care for me?

I hope that I'm just getting hung up on my own thoughts...

My keep is always there with me even if im not aware due to distracting thoughts. Maybe the same is true for you.

Maybe imagine what a good friend might say to you? eg Don't get hung up on one moment or thing. Sometimes we get stuck on something and read more into it or dwell on it more than is useful for us.

I won't try and read different meanings into those cards.

I have several spirits and two are succubus. They do not all come to me every time I ask them to cuddle or do other things. Sometimes they are giving space for me to spend time with other spirits. Sometimes it's them giving us space to work things out. Sometimes they are busy protecting. There's just too much to be possible. He may be trying to tell you something about a physical situation, a person that you have a relationship with, or any other thing. Sometimes it's hard to know and the only way is to try to keep asking and listening.

Personally think its very normal to have doubt on own judgement on things regarding spirits, incubus in this case.

2 of cups is a good card for a good relation, and you remembered sweet times with him. I guess that is a positive comeback from him to you.

On does he still care for you? I think 2 of cups has answered that.

In other words, relax. Don't over-think it, and don't automatically assume that a few heavy showers means a hurricane will hit tomorrow.

We're doing good, now. We've reached past the barrier and I'm full of love and warm fuzzies with him again. I can sense him curled up against me as I'm writing this, reading it with a small smile.
