It's more that they are both extremely adept at what they do and they do it in different ways. The act of vengeance would not make the wraith "stronger" at protection than another spirit that does not act out. It just depends on what you need a spirit to do. Either way you, as their keeper, are ultimately responsible for HOW they carry out that protection. Do not take protection lightly, or passively.

Just ordered a custom conjured Volkh (put in notes that I wanted it to be very strong against dark magic)

Update 2: Volkh hasn't arrived yet but recently I ordered a wraith...so now I have two spirits.
