The earliest recorded name of a person in history is Kushim.
Also, after Kushim, there are Gal-Sal and his(?) slaves, En-pap X and Sukkalgir.
Kinda wonder if these names can be popular in today's world : p

I found a good way for me to kind of get a feel for ancient Akkadia / Sumeria were the historical novels of Sam Barone, starting with Dawn of Empire. It's his reimagining but you really get a feel of place and the importance of farming and the emergence of writing to keep account of trades. And that period saw an emergence of military powers from successful villages, which became towns, while kingdoms also started to become empires.

find it again.
No matter what may come, stay on...
the path! [Gandalf, in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug]
