I See recharging Boxes, recharging Bags bring sold for charging spirits.. What do these contain and Why do a Spirit needs to be charged? In my case all my spirits are bound to my Spirit. In this case how would the Spirit be charged?

Hi. Yes there is a lot of partial information scattered about that's hard to track down all in one go.

I'm not a practitioner in this field - I'm a customer - but I went on this learning curve a while ago. So this is what I learned:

1. Charging is very highly recommended.

So I bought a load of charging stones and added charging energy to every spirit vessel I'd bought that did not have it. I also have a stone that turns whatever box it's in into a charging box, in which I keep my freebie spell bindings that may not have had charging energy added. (I also have loads of charging pouches in which I keep spirit vessels I've bound myself using the CH binding unbounds box.) I've created my own charging vessel, using the spell in the Encyclopaedia. One conjurer I know now adds charging energy to every bindings as standard. I have several cleansing and charging chains and two charging pouches.

So it's importance is pretty clear.

2. Why have charging energy?

- For me, I know I'm keeping the bindings in the best possible condition and providing me the best possible conditions for connecting with my spirits or spell bindings. So that's one less thing for me to worry about.

- It could vary from conjurer to conjurer as to what charging specifically adds. One conjurer gave me a charging pouch, with some stones and said put the spirit's vessel in that in the full moon's light. Older CH encyclopaedia articles and forum threads talk in terms of using natural energy cycles. I have gathered that the paranormal 'technology' has since been developed to add charging energy permanently to bindings, rather than laboriously getting out all of your vessels repeatedly. That's a great convenience.

- From previous discussion here and I think some CH articles or comments, it's not literally the spirit that needs the energy themselves personally. It's more about keeping the magical binding and the vessel cleansed and charged. (Magic and charmed items can lose their initial charge of energy and can become tarnished with everyday vibrations, unless something has been added to perform the act of keeping them cleansed and charged.)

- Charging energy indirectly keeps the spirit 'happy' by helping the link between them and their keeper (the binding) be kept in tip top condition. In one sense it does kind of give them some energy but at this point I'm getting a bit vague about things.

That is the basic level of charging.

At this point I need to repeat that I am not a practitioner of these things, merely a customer, but this is what I sincerely believe, based on reading here and the encyclopaedia.

On top of all that:

* You can buy a CH charging box that also creates a closer bond between you and the spirit whose vessel is placed in it.

* You can buy a CH charging box that gives both you and the spirit a charge.

* I have a Hippocampus that is supposed to bring refreshing energy to members of the spirit family.

* You can recite spells that bring a closer bond with your spirits. I think in a way that gives them an energy boost of a sort, as all of these things are a kind of energy. And this is how spirit keeping spells work too. (imho)

* Some spirit keepers work more directly with energy and will offer energy to their spirits, in keeping with their path or approach.

* Unbound spirits are thought to need to take or use a little bit of energy when linking with us. Some specifically siphon off small amounts of excess or ambient energy we won't miss. Others, such as spirits that 'vamp' energy, may need larger amounts, eg from sexual activity. One way of looking at the Universe is that it is all energy in different forms and that when we interact with people and with spirits there is always some form of energy exchange happening at some level. In Taoism (Hinduism too) nature is full of these subtle energies.

(Obviously 'energy feeder' entities are malevolent and operating on a different basis from what I just described, but the general mechanisms are similar.)

Magnolia, I do read through the existing Posts, Encyclopedia etc a lot , and ponder over them... believe me, sometimes i reread also 1s ... then i have some specific doubts which are not answered ... like for instance when i ask Why do spirits need recharging, I meant that humans derive Energy from food... spirits dont Eat food , so what is in those charging Boxes to get energy , Spells or What? ... And when there are Direct bindings i Read that the Spirit gets Energy from Exposure to sun and Moon... So in that case is there a Minimum time One should spend Outdoors every day? ... some days i Never go out like if it is Monsoon season, then I dont go out for days together...and on Many Weekends i dont go out either... most days I try to avoid the sun coz I dont want to get more tanned 1s ...So if I understand what is this Energy spirits require and how often do they Need it then i Can See what i should do differently.....

It's an interesting subject. Spirits in their own realm get their own energy needs met one way or another, obviously. I've read elsewhere in this forum that it would take an enormous amount of energy for an unbound spirit to manifest visibly in this physical world, so clearly some energy is used to communicate with us or be with us keepers in a normal psychic way too.

Don't forget there are differing views on a lot of things like this, plus conjurers quite reasonably protect their hard-won trade secrets, so we don't always know to what extent spirit bindings have energy sources built into them and which conjurers do that or in which way. Eclipse Metaphysical, who specialise in sentient servitors (ie not bound spirits), explain that each one that they create is given its own energy source. This may vary from one servitor creator to another. But there are occult / magical practices for charging objects with energy imprinted with wishes and intent, which can include the intent that the wish / patterned energy in the object will keep recharging itself with more energy from the source. As far as I can tell, over time these basic methods have been refined and there are a variety of ways that energy can be provided for a working that's in a vessel. some like to use elemental energy or they use ley lines, astral energy, the list seems virtually endless. And they may do that via 'psionic' techniques or by spells and so on.

It will have taken the pioneers in some of these fields decades to refine their innovations and practitioners probably years or many years to master techniques. For consumers of the information and products it also takes months or years to really become familiar with it all.

I read the forum for a month or more before I joined it. And I've read up widely here and in the encyclopaedia since. There is still a lot that isn't easy to spell out, partly because we follow different paths and take different perspectives. It's taken me a year on this forum to gather what information I have...but it's been worth the effort.
