Thanks, DW. I could not find ANY of that. Everything I found came back to The Nuttall Encyclopedia, and that made it look like this encyclopedist just smashed those words together.

To point out something Lisa didn't choose the vessel I did I didn't directly bought from the store we did a distance binding.

Also thanks for the ideas and information, I asked him again and he said he is fine with the lamp idea. It isn't all me also to say or I would've bought the lamp and did the distance binding with it a long time ago.

Oo okay : )

An interesting description of that land, in English, are:
The globe is supposed to rest on a vast sapphire, the reflection of which colours the sky; and the earth is encircled by a range of high mountains, called Caf. The whole of this aerial region is called Jinnistan, or the country of Jinns, i.e., divs or genii, and is occupied both by the evil and the well-disposed demigods. Ahriman-abad, the abode of Arimanes, is the capital of the divs; Shad-u-kam (pleasure and desire), Gauher-abad (abode of jewels), and Amber-abad (city of Ambergris), are those of the peris. The Enchanted Castle, Palace, and Picture Gallery of Arzheng, situated in the first, and are continually alluded to in the Persian romances. The inhabitants of Jinnistan, though formed from fire, are not absolutely immortal; and though possessed of more than human powers, are the sport of human passions. The divs and peris are constantly at war with each other; and the latter, when captured by the former, are exposed to cold and derision, by being suspended in iron cages at the top of high trees. Their kindred peris, however, relieve them by supplying large draughts of sweet odours, which are their food, but the abomination of the divs. In one respect the condition of these aerial beings is the reverse of that of the fairies in our romances; instead of aiding men, the peris seem always indebted for victory to the prowess of some mortal hero. It is true the latter owes much of his success to talismans, incantations, and divers other supernatural aids: but still it is the man, and not the peri, who attacks and often vanquishes the div. In the divs and rakshahs, we again meet with the devas and rakshasas of the Hindus; but the whole system has been so remodelled by the followers of Zoroaster, that little more than a nominal resemblance remains; and that little has probably been diminished by the Musulman poets, through whom this system of fable has been handed down to modern times.

Ah...so it sounds like your Djinn prefers a non-teddy bear vessel. I can kind of understand that. Lisa can re-bind it for you I would have thought.

My own personal take would be that all that's needed is for you to have a suitable physical object that your Djinn (and Lisa) are both happy about becoming the Djinn's new vessel.

I think it's great that you are thinking of finding a vessel that your Djinn likes.

For me the topic of pocket astral realms is interesting but is not directly related to the conjurer changing the object that your Djinn companion is bound to. From what I gather, conjured Djinn that are kept by modern spirit keepers don't routinely create pocket astral realms in other objects, as they have a vessel already. However I love the idea of having pocket realms for spirits to visit etc and I know that some sellers have specialised in that kind of thing.

And Eclipse Metaphysical have a stone that contains a pocket astral realm that a spirit can design to their liking and inhabit if they wish, also containing a servitor entity that can heal the spirit if they wish. I've not got one - yet. But maybe not all of our spirits would want one. Maybe that's just a luxury for unbound, attached spirits. I personally am not planning to offer one to any of my bound spirits and especially not to my Djinn. If you remember, my 3 Djinn are all from Lisa of MMT, like yours is.

Your title of this thread had me confused, in all honesty. Genie lamps: How unique are they?

I was expecting an interesting thread with a question regarding that, not "will I see his invisible, transparent home”.
As in, I was expecting you to ask truly, how unique are the lamps considered “Genie Lamps.”
Objects like that can, in astral, be made to be more than what it is physically yes. But not every entity will do so. I have a zebra box that my 5-year-old decided was the little beanie horse Taaku's "home". He was a gift from my grandparents' when I was like 7, and sill have him. Someone resides in him as a vessel, not quite by my doing and not quite a member of my keep. Though I did hear mention of how that "home" was made to have a pool table. I was highly amused.

There isn't going to be furniture quite like the way you are thinking. He's not less than an inch tall. The space itself can be increased in astral. But no, you won't be able to see anything, and it's not "transparent". The only reason it would be invisible, is because you may not be able to see the astral that strongly. People who can see it clear as day are rare. Even with a million magick enchantments to help, and daily meditation, many never even see a slight manifestation.

"Distance binding" also means you could have simply done Bind to Spirit instead. Sellers who don't ship vessels do this by default. You could have just done that, it would have avoided the "I don't like it" response from him.
