You know when you walk through a doorway and immediately forget what you're doing there? It seems like doorways prime us to start fresh. Has anyone ever done a walking mediation involving going back and forth through a doorway?
It seems not ineffective, but I'm going to have to do it with more concentration in the future.
Doorway walking meditation?

Hmmm...not exactly but I remember in 2012 - or was it 2013? - after a modern taoist teacher I was fond of talked about a theory we were collectively going through an inner/spiritual gateway at a certain moment, walking across an iconic bridge over a major road at that time and thinking I was walking into a new era of sorts. It might even have been around the time I took redundancy / took early retirement. Or just before it.
Also, as I've said before, at every Equinox & Solstice and Imbolc, Beltane, Lughnasadh and Samhain, there's a kind of gateway open on the inner planes that those who are sensitive may notice. In fact, at every new and full moon too. Basically you can just about sense that every day, every planetary hour, every moment of each of those hours, all of the while that time is unfolding, there are these inner gateways to the new.
I maybe overglamorising a fairly simple thing...or am I?

You must stay on the path. Do not leave it.
If you do, you'll never...
find it again.
No matter what may come, stay on...

...and before I forget...the whole 'liminal' thing was big with the Celts...hence why we celebrate special days like Beltane etc the evening before. The edges between one day and the next, the land and the water and so on...between one room and the next...this side of the doorway and that side of it...
On a purely pragmatic side, memory is context sensitive, which is why we forget as we enter a new room.
