Hi Aster, I'll answer to the best of my ability!

-The ancestors bound through this service for me became significant on the level of work with my bloodline and inherited abilities. Even if supernatural ability and presence is dormant in some generations, it is part of those people - but the dormancy means they weren't able to take advantage of the supernatural blood.
