I live with a sanguine vampire for 9 years in marriage and am a vegetarian. The topic of meat has never been one. We have the very best relationship and I think that everything can be compensated, e.g. with sexual energy. In my experience, being a vegetarian is not a problem with being together with vampires.

If you are a vegetarian, you are going to be paired with any kind of spirit that respects your lifestyle. Not all Vampires have the savage personality where they like to be around meat-eaters, some are quite so, but many appreciate the companionship and ability to "live" again through a relationship and communication. I was a veggie before I began keeping vampires. Now I eat steak together with my vamps. 
Though I don't eat meat very often (maybe once a week) I do buy steak and lamb just for my vamps. Also I have a fountainhead orb and various vampire feeding gems and spells. The steak is more of a treat really.
