Ahh I saw my grandfather after he passed away when I was young too! I used to be afraid to use the bathroom with the door closed. I saw him walk by the door and down the hall, and after, I went to my mom and asked her where he went? lol.

Personally it was not seeing but hearing (physically and via telepathy). Plus, it's been a couple of months since I try to think back about spiritual experiences that I had when growing up; There are memories where a spirit's energy was attached to these moments.

For example, I remembered that when I was young I was attracted to mermaids, I loved swimming (the mermaid's way), I loved drawing them, I loved the "Little mermaid", I loved water and the color blue. I did a reading some years ago about past life where I discovered that I was a mermaid and that the presence accompanying during my childhood was my father who was a merman).

And everytime I think about there's this energy's attached to this memory.

everyone has the power to be physic no if or buts about it because the truth is everyone already is just 99% of the population tends to IGNORE IT because they were told it was chldish it cant be real! I have this view due to being face to face with an alien and no its not because i am special. but the energy you feel off them when they read your mind and talk to you telepathically you understand immediately this is a two way street they are understanding me too. makes you realize everyone is capable of these things. its a matter of belief. and i for one have blocked myself for a very long time do to trama.

Just because you had paranormal encounters as a kid, doesn't mean you'll automatically have psychic abilities as an adult. These experiences could be due to kids being more open to the spiritual world or having power from past lives.

My story is quite different. I had no paranormal experiences as a kid. In fact, I only had my first creepy experience when I stayed in a haunted hotel in my 20s. To be honest, I believe in spirits, but I didn't think I would get scared. But, I was wrong. Lol. We had strange things like knocks on our hotel window, and the faucet turning on and off. I didn't have another paranormal experience until I started my Spirit Keeping journey a decade later.

There are people who are naturally able to see and hear spirits from a young age. They might try to ignore these abilities for a long time, but these are a part of who they are.

Then, there are others who lose their abilities due to traumatic experiences that put up huge roadblocks in their communication with other realms. They can, however, train to regain these abilities.

So, I truly believe we all can learn these abilities even if you're starting from ground zero, just like I did.

Agreed...

There is a story here... it's about someone I know. They were considered a gifted child in school so they were accelerated. The only problem was, in doing that, they never actually got the chance to learn how to learn, and there were gaps in what they were taught... so, them being the "gifted child" actually worked to their detriment. A detriment they felt painfully when they went to college and were expected to keep up with everyone that actually had an advantage over them (they knew how to learn and there weren't gaps in their knowledge.)

I think in some way this applies because in our wish to be born on and innately gifted (which can happen) can lead us to think that we're gifted, and as such, will neglect the necessary foundations.

I mean, I pushed myself really hard to learn how to do this kinda stuff and I didn't actually have the foundation to learn the proper discernment (so I try to limit my communication to ways that I know I can trust will at least connect me with the spirits.) So I ended up being stuck.

Also, sometimes we can think we're blocked when it's really just a gap in our knowledge/experience, or a lack of confidence in our abilities.

What I like to say is some people are born with it, some people learn it, but everyone can/does have it. I was born into this path. When I was younger I always thought my experiences were normal. After figuring out that it wasn't I blocked myself off. I tried to suppress it, tried to find a diagnosis that would explain what was happening to me, tried ignoring it, I tried living a "normal" life. I met someone who was able to do what I could. It was exactly the same. I was amazed. After that I was determined to get back on track. Some skills I definitely had to work hard for than others. However; I would say that I am in an even better place than I was before. Whether you were a lucky kid or talented doesn't take away what you are able to do now or in the future. You got this! I was so scared when I started back on the path that I would never be able to be how good I was when I was a kid. It wasn't true for me, and it isn't true for you either. My take is if you blocked yourself off like myself you may need to practice somethings. That doesn't mean that somethings won't come natural to you though.
