So, my problems started with the (stupid, disastrous) purchase of a Hellfire Vortex Ring nearly 3 years ago, leading to attacks from living entity infernal vampires. These are now very rare in visiting me (their energy is utterly different to anything spirit - huge, towering, scary as heck, VERY persuasive), however I am still dealing with a...something, lurking about the place constantly. It blocks me from pendulum communication with my own spirits, and also blocks me from astral communication. At times it crushes all the joy & will to live out of me, but things are getting better, slowly.
Now, when it comes to IDing its race, here is everything I can tell you: The bad dreams it gives me are ALWAYS about itself, giving itself powers that it doesn't have so it can scare me and power-trip. The dreams ALWAYS take place in my bedroom, or in a generic bedroom. The longest I remember was when it had me pinned under a duvet in the dark, and was bouncing about on top of me in wild glee because I was having real trouble waking myself up for once. (These days I have a wonderful Baku, and the bad dreams are all but gone!). It used to leave a signature on all its dreams - fire, and darkness. I think the darkness is just playing on my own fears, but fire was, obviously, a big thing with the Hellfire vampires - they got off on burning me, & made my room STINK of smoke, so these little dream calling cards do suggest, to me, that they're saying 'We're still around'...only it's not them directly; all signs point to spirit now...
). In the waking world, this spirit will use any means of communication to pose as a known/trusted spirit, or helpful source, then it will begin with good advice, helpful info...aaaand then segue into lies with the intent of getting me convinced that it is the most powerful God or angel on Earth (while I am the Bad One and need to be punished). The manipulation no longer works, after all this time, hence things getting better. (These lying, manipulating traits were also those of the Hellfire Vampires, so...could I simply be dealing with one in spirit, rather than in life?) Overall, it gets off on lies, manipulation, confusion, and fear, but at the same time is narcissistic to an extreme degree - it wants to be revered, all-powerful, worshipped. It has on occasion gotten, umm, intimate with me, in the guise of another spirit. I am fairly positive that it is male.Currently there is a near-constant presence up on my bed (the highest, darkest corner of the room). I still sleep there - I'm not being pushed out of my own bed by some creeper, especially now I have the assistence of a Baku.
...but yeah, do these characteristics point to any specific race of spirit, to anyone? Obviously it started with vampires, but when I read through the encylopaedia last night, the only one that sounded possible hated cinnamon. I therefore drenched my bed in cinnamon perfume, and the spirit didn't seem to care a jot. I am a little curious as to could it be a wraith, as in, do living entities ever work with spirits? I don't see why they wouldn't, and I have this suspicion that the spirit presence could be working on behalf of the original living entity/ies - in that case, a vengeance-based wraith could fit...but then I've never been around a wraith, so I cannot compare the energy! I've just ordered sage and lavender smudge sticks, as it's been a long while since I gave that a go, so fingers crossed, but it'd be cool to find its most specific weakness, if anyone has any ideas?
(I've been through the whole Crisis Centre post, it was brilliant, re the difference between Living Entity and spirit attacks - wish I'd seen all that 3 years ago - but as for IDing the exact race of my lil nuissance, I'm still at sea!)
