I saw that scene again at the weekend - in Ridley Scott's Kingdom Of Heaven - where Saladin speaks that line about Jerusalem. It's possibly the strongest line in the film.

Yes. My brother-in-law had it. When it's a form of hearing damage, it's a notoriously unpleasant audiological intrusion. Drives people crazy. But apparently you can mentally retrain the brain/neurological setup to tune it out / ignore it.

I love that movie, the first or second best line in that movie is him saying you shall fight as free men. they never had freedom before until then. they were not fighting for king and country or for religion just to live.
