I love Discworld books, I really do. :cloud9: I even have the great A'tuin, with the Discworld on its back, tattooed on my back in color. I think there's much to learn from the magic of Discworld.
Any fans out there? :flower:

I love Terry Pratchett too. We've taken to leaving a couple of our Halloween decorations out through Christmas as a reference to when Death was the Hogfather in that book.
One of our decorations is a resin skeletal hand that sits on a table which we have holding holly at Christmas. And the other is our holly wreathed oak mantle - we leave a couple of ceramic candle holders there that are skulls.. they are subtle but very visable in with all the holly and twinkling lights around them.

It's actually very pretty and makes us mindful of Pratchett's wisdoms, I'm there are sure some who visit who think we're very strange lol.

I don't have the attention span to read the Discworld books, I wish I did
But I absolutely loved The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents, it's so cheeky. And my kids love watching the Hogfather, it was very well done.
I recently purchased the illustrated copy of Wee Free Men but haven't got into yet.

Hahaa, sounds nice Fey.
I was browsing for some Discworld related things on the net and came upon http://www.paulkidby.com/ which sells all kinds of neat things.
I wonder how conjuring Discworld gods would go.

I just read through Men at Arms again-read it on and off last night, and finished it up this evening.Nazza wrote:I don't have the attention span to read the Discworld books, I wish I did

Anyway-I LOVE his books, his collaboration with Neil Gaiman on Good Omens being one of my FAAAVORITES ever. all of my paper copies are at my parents home, though, so I'm making do with some online copies. nothing like having the real things in my hands, tho...

A really good friend of mine we loaned her our copies, and the first time she read them, she put all the Terry Pratchett Discworld novels in a box by the bed and (because she hadn't read the first one first anyway) she'd just randomly pull the next one to read when finishing one. She said it was a fascinating way to go through the books and gave her interesting insights to jump around with characters. I think I may have to try it myself sometime. :flower:
