My problem is that I was afraid of spirits and entities because I had been harmed by the BA entities since I could remember. I guess this changed my perception of things and I didn't think about the "horsies" that I played with when I was small, preferring them to normal, everyday animals.

When Huff brought the first spirit into the house, I got angry-- until it communicated with me and asked why I was angry about him being there. When I told him what I had been through, and that he was giving me a constant headache that wouldn't allow me to think straight, he apologized and toned it down. He promised me that he would never harm me, nor allow another spirit to harm me ever again. He is vigilant on his promise, and drills every spirit- bound and unbound that comes into this house.

He is quick to protect me, and we converse a lot. As you can tell, he made the first contact, but we quickly became friends, as he is my self appointed protector.

Since this was necro'd, I'll chime in.

My own experience with keeping has been very positive. And, I have actually felt safer since I began the practice.

I live in an area where there is ALOT of unbound traffic and so far the two companions that I tasked to watch out for unbounds and escort them off the property have been very vigilant about it. Reporting back only once that there was an unbound with ill intent which they were concerned about. But later said it had moved on and was no longer a concern.

Anyways, I'm sure many, many people may have experienced some scary situations for various reasons. But I have never felt unsafe since I began putting my spirit family together.
