So a few night ago I was up sitting in bed waiting for my boyfriend to come home. I suddenly heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I thought it odd that he was home when I didn't hear his bike pull up, but shooed the thought away and waited. The foot steps stopped at the door. I waited a few seconds then said "C'mon babe quite fooling around and get in here" while laughing. That's when I heard a male's voice in a southern accent say "Well thank you kindly for the invite, miss, don't mind if I do!"
I then saw the comforter on the bed indent as if someone sat on it and there he was. Mr. Holliday. Not quite sure what spurred this visit...perhaps it was the conversation I had with my boyfriend after watching tombstone to which he was going on about how awesome Doc Holliday was and I said something to the tune of "ah yes a drunk with a gun, how awesome" LOL whoops!
We had a very good conversation about some things I've been dealing with and a situation I needed fresh insight on. I have to say, he is very good at reading people and figuring out their motives behind things.
He is less hot headed then they portray him in the movies, but that might be how he is in spiritual form as his stories (although I suspect some might be embellished lol) do tell of some wild things.
Anyway, thought I'd share. For those of you who don't know Mr. Holliday here is his wiki article

LMAO I know right? He definitely has charm in a rugged sort of way.

There's a rumor on my mother's side that we are related to him. I've tried to trace it genealogy wise but have had no luck confirming it. It's such a persistent rumor though.. I've always assumed it is probably true.

I've joked that, that side of my family is all outlaws anyway and respiratory illness also runs on that side of my family.. so if we are related to him it would explain a few things. :crazy:

Maybe tell him hello from a possible great-great-great-I-don't-know-how-may-greats- grand-niece. :

I have been perusing the spirit biographies that you have posted. I am fascinated with your talent of attracting such historical spirits. I personally would like to hear more about Doc Holiday. I have always thought the most dangerous man would be the one who knew he was dying so therefore he would have no fear in a gun fight.

For those of you who live in New England...Doc Holiday went to school at Tufts University DentallSchool..

Tombstone is one of the great westerns of all time...I love the seen when Do is in the Bar and Johnny Ringo starts screwing around with Doc...and Do says something in Latin to Ringo and Ringo answers Doc in Latin and doc says:

"I see here, that we have an educated ma-an..."

Very accurate movie on all counts..

The best gunfighters for speed and accuracy in the old west were "Doc" Holliday, "Wild Bill" Hickock (a relative), Elfrado Bacca; Charle Goodknight.

I did correspond with "GW" George Washington Earp who was very old but alive in the late 1960s/early 70s...and he basically said that all the legendary stuff was true, but that no one thought about it that way until "the penny dreadfuls" and Tom Mix publicised all these events....

I would be over the moon if Doc visited me!! I have about a million questions to ask him. -)

I love that moive Tombstone, and I love how Val Klimer protrays Doc Holliday!!!! All in all, it was a good moive!!!! :thumbup:
