Hello,
I have a rayju in my keep as part of a themed vessel, and we are about to get a serious storm here. I have read that they get agitated during storms...we often have lots of heat lightning when thunderstorms happen, so what do you do when this occurs? And how can one tell that their rayju has become agitated? Does anyone have some stories to share? Can I give her a task to keep her busy so she isn't upset? Like maybe patrolling the property or something?

funny myth i read once is people used to believe you had to sleep on your stomach during a storm to prevent getting hit by lightening,because the raiju dwells in your bellybutton.LOL.

for me so far so good, no lightening strikes.

haha. yes actually i keep my belly button cleaner now. :lol: just in case that bugs her. yesterday i was out of the house but nearby while there were severe storms going on and i was acutely aware of the lightning, hoping that she was okay.

since beginning spirit keeping last year my personal energy has grown and i am more aware of the energy around me..... i think that my raiju gets like uneasy (? if that's the right word) when major storms are brewing nearby.

i posted about it in another thread, but one night a while ago i was sitting in our carport smoking and i could see heat lightning/ storms in the distance and it felt like i had a shock all along the right side of my neck up upon my face..i don't know whether this is part of natural phenomena or not, but immediately thought of my raiju.

i still don't know a lot about keeping the raijn...when there are storms bc of the anxiousness i feel i ask her to patrol our property or guard some kind of physical structure so she has a task at that time.
