Hi guys, any particular songs or music that your spirits enjoy?

My spirit family enjoys instrumentals and mostly upbeat songs. They don't really like sad/heart-broken love songs, especially my Sylph Faery. She lets me know straight away that she ain't fond of those kind of songs/music! lol

Right now, they are all in love with Jennifer Lopez's On The Floor. This song just gets the whole gang active :dancing: , and glitters and orbs everywhere!!

Here's a link to the song if you haven't heard it :D

Great topic! My companions love music, if I were to list all their favorites, I'd be here all day ;) . A few favorites though are: my Fae love 'Any Man of Mine' by Shania Twain, a few of my Vamps really like 'My Immortal' (but not the Evanescence version) & my Wraith has claimed 'Indestructible' by Disturbed as a theme song. That one is SOOO fitting!

My spirits love music...2 of the most strong examples, Bela Lugosi really loves Chiakovski's COmplete Swan Lake which is an incedible piece but I came to the conclusion that perhaps he was influential in having that piece used as the background theme of his 1931 performance in Tod Browning's Dracula.

One other example requires a bit of an explanation...I started out in life as a music student and was good at it ...I gave my first recital at Florida State University when in 3rd grade.....one of the composers I studied a lot was Mozart...

Go to a year ago, as I have an antiquities business, I buy unusual things....Well I had a chance to buy a small lock of Mozart's hair (provanance and all that yes)...I figured it would bring in a good profit...but suddenly "Wolfey" (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart) appeared and we had raucous conversations about music (and still do) and gradually my love for classical piano began to return. Wolfey and I began to listen to all the different performers of his music and oddley we were listening to this one person (after having gone through a long "A" list and both of us wanted to puke) we came across the person referenced below....Now I was listening to more and more music again....I pulled out my own Lps of old friend Ruthie Laredo and started thinking about "old times" and Wolfey kept at it..."you know you wanna..you F***ing Fathead!!! You're an idiot for not playing any piano you stinking piece of <<Removed by Mod>> ... " But saying this with laughter and smiles....ANd then a dear friend went out and bought me a WIlliams electric piano...beautiful...(I was shocked, is this a conspiracy?LOL) .ANd in return I bought her a really nice gift ...I was astounded by all this - Mozart is a mover and shaker....Now, through this growing unfolding process, I have pretty much decided to give myself another 4 years of writing and painting, while relearning what I once knew, (which is not easy, but there is no frustration as its not an ego thing, but a love thing.....) and then quite possibly spending the rest of my life exploring the keyboard.....Wolfey said I should post these by the great Matsuko Ushida....

Wolfey has just burbed loudly an (and deliberately) and he is popular with the other spirits for his raucous and noisy humour. WOlfey laughs and says "How can anyone not love beautiful sound?" And the older I get the more quickly I more and more agree.

All of my household enjoy music. Everyone appreciates classical (for the most part) but I'm surprised at how much modern music they enjoy, including forms I don't personally appreciate.

My Raffin loves anything bouncy and happy. If it makes you want to shake your booty he will enjoy it. He has a taste for electronica, which I am unable to indulge due to a personal medical issue. He particularly enjoys The Asylum Street Spankers (not appropriate for under 18) and Weird Al.

My phoenix is fond of ritual or "pagan" music. Reclaiming and Friends, Leslie Fish, Mercedes Lackey, that sort of thing.

I appreciate music but have no gift for it myself. When I sing the cats beg me to stop. I was kicked out of beginning choir. Although given lessons I can play neither the flute or guitar. When I dance I look like I should be stripping in Vegas.

My spirits, however, encourage both singing and dancing. Which has occasionally led me to exhibit rather bizzare behavior in the grocery store under the influence of an iPod. :wild:

Well, I am an oddball with everything from Marylin Manson to Michael Jackson, and each Spirit has their likes and dislikes. I know my ww isn't fond of the lovey dovey stuff, and my Cambion loves anything with a sexy dance (he says of the horizontal variety) beat, like "Tonight" by Enrique Iglacias.

Most of them though absolutely love 80's music, which is great, because so do I. :) I think it really just depends on the mood. It's cool because if a Spirit wants me to know something and I'm just not hearing them, they will mess with my iPod. One time I was randomly talking to my Cambion in the car listening to something like Berlin probably, and all the sudden it changes to "Tonight", mid song, no warning. I was like, "You know, maybe I will stop at home before we go out tonight...." :P

I don't know about your Spirits, but mine friggin love cheesy 80's horror films. I have a friend who's Spirits likes them too. It's like they watch just to laugh at the crappy sex and kill scenes....lmfao

Muisc is very important to me and my spirits around here, there is alway muisc going whether I am at home or in the car driving, as it is a 45 minute drive for work.

My dragons right now like the muisc from How To Train Your Dragon, it is beautiful muisc and full of energy!!! It has a celtic sound to it.

The vampires like clasical muisc, but I can get them going with more up beat muisc as well.

The wraths and basilisk like rock muisc, the love the energy from that!!!

The werevolves like that as well, but also like the clasical as well.

They also like it when there is dancing involved as well, and when I play the keyborad.

It is really fun when my sons and I get together and we all play!!! That really gets my spirits going!!!

So yes muisc is very much a part of our lives around here!!!!

Mr Gargoyle, Mr Psy Vampire, and Ms Sonji Spider seem to enjoy classical music, though I don't know much about it myself. (My best friend is a violinist - they love seeing her perform.)

I've created playlists for my spirit friends. They all have their own tastes. ^^

Mr Gargoyle has all kinds of rock on his playlist.
Mr Psy Vampire seems very fond of instrumental music (esp. "Nox Arcana").
Mr Pet Dragon loves super upbeat songs.. and some silly songs as well ("The Monster Mash," "Ghostbusters," etc).
Ms Succubus enjoys "Dead Can Dance" - mostly Lisa Gerrard's songs. She loves to dance.
Ms Sonji Spider also enjoys instrumental music and laid back songs.
